American Idol 7: “Extra” Gives Alexis “Glitter Girl” Cohen a Second Chance
By LoudmouthLee | January 17, 2008
Extra has given Alexis Cohen a chance to Alexis Cohen after her complete meltdown on the first episode of American Idol 7. Alexis sang “Somebody to Love” by Grace Slick and she wasn’t too bad. Both Randy and Paula said that she could rock out in a 70’s cover band. Simon said she looked a bit “posessed” on stage… which caused her to go into a complete hissy fit.
This issue was… she really wasn’t that bad. The judges even agreed. She sounded very similar to Grace Slick, and she rocked it out. It was a bit pitchy (and possibly coupled with the fact that she looks a bit “different”), she was sent home.
Instead of going out gracefully (heh, what a play on Grace Slick!), she went out cursing, screaming, and acting like a child. Too bad.. she was decent, too.
Well, Extra decided to bring her back and give her another chance to sing her song. Give a listen by clicking on her picture or by going to http://extratv.warnerbros.com/2008/01/american_idols_glitter_face_gi.php and tell me if Alexis did better in Times Square or if she’s the same train wreck that we saw in Philly.
